it is metal with a white circle design on the ends of then bed. it comes with two matteresses, the protectors and it is your choice if you would like some bed sheets. this is all included, and also the bunk bed has got a glow in the dark ladder. The bunk bed is in very good condtion, it is silver metal. please call or email me, you can even come over to see it before you make your decision.
