Hello, wlecome to this auction for my Fender Champ 25 valve amp. These amps are fairly rare and out of production, so I'll try to be as informative as possible. It's a 25 watt beast with a 12" speaker. It is a valve amp, with a hybrid pre-amp. The pre-amp is solid-state, but driven by a single 12ax7 valve. However, don't let that put you off! As we all know, the valve "sound" comes from the power amp far more than the pre-amp, and you can rest assured that the dual 6L6GC output valves of all tube power-amp give you that creamy compression that we all love, particularly when they are driven. However, let me warn you. 25 valve watts, going through a 12" speaker, is VERY loud, and for that reason, I rarely have it past 2-3 in the house. This does mean that you can use it for fairly large gigs, before the sound breaks up too much, and there is an enormous amount of clean headroom.
